The American Society for Health Care Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA), a professional membership group of the American Hospital Association (AHA), is currently accepting educational abstracts for ASHHRA20. Attendees are looking for timely, innovative, engaging and health care-specific education. This is your opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise with health care HR leaders.

Preparing Your Abstract

As you prepare your ASHHRA20 abstract submission, please consider the following:

Selection Measures

All completed submissions will be reviewed by the 2020 Annual Conference Committee. Selected abstracts will be measured on the following categories:

  1. Organization
  2. Learning Outcomes and Outline
  3. Research/Case Studies
  4. Implementable and Innovative Solutions
Additional key factors include ASHHRA membership, submissions from practitioners, topics that address emerging trends and content for both rural and urban health systems.
If chosen as a presenter, you agree to:
  • Use ASHHRA’s conference themed PowerPoint template for presentations
  • Have open availability between Aug. 22-25, 2020
  • Adhere to the presentation best practices guidelines
  • Audio/video recording
  • Be the primary contact for conference communications sent by or on behalf of ASHHRA for both primary and co-presenters
  • Register yourself and any co-presenters for the conference
  • All additional requirements outlined in the Speaker Agreement Form
 

Timeline

A vital component of a well-planned conference is adhering to timelines. We ask that you provide as much information as possible to assist in the decision-making process. Please make note of the following dates:
Nov. 15, 2019: Call for Abstracts closes 5:00 p.m. CT
Jan. 20 - 24, 2020: Presenter notifications sent by ASHHRA. Accepting the invitation confirms your commitment to attend the meeting and present.
May 1, 2020: Rough draft of presentation due to ASHHRA.
July 20, 2020: Last day to add/change co-presenters and final presentations due, no exceptions.*
 
If your presentation will contain newly founded information or research not yet determined, you will need to speak on the newly founded information during your presentation or print handouts for attendees as we will not accept presentations beyond July 20, 2020. 
 
*If we have not received the requested materials by the deadline date, ASHHRA reserves the right to secure another presenter.
